Infection is one of the common complications of nephrotic syndrome. For NS patients, they often have large amount of protein in urine, it leads to the loss of massive immunoglobulin in urine with reduced plasma proteins, thus can affect the formation of antibody. In addition, in the clinical treatment, the application of adrenal cortical hormone and cytotoxic drugs can cause reduction of systemic resistance for patients. This can easily cause infections, such as respiratory infection, urinary tract infection, etc.
If nephrotic syndrome patients are using hormone treatment, they should avoid the induction of infection, preventing catching a cold, apart from a public place with a large population, thus can help prevent the incursion of infection germs, so as to prevent infections in body.
